Marial Display at the Sanctuary of Beauvoir

Brothers Set Up Exhibition in Honor of Mary

22/05/2008: Canada

From April 26 to May 2, a Marial exhibition took place at the Sacred Heart Sanctuary of Beauvoir, located in the city of Sherbrooke, Canada. The Marist Fathers are responsible for the sanctuary, and we pass the pen to Father Jean-Claude Trottier, SM to give us his impressions. “In the name of the entire pastoral team of Beauvoir, I desire to thank you profoundly once again for the opportunity that we had to receive here at the sanctuary such a Marial treasure trove. I congratulate you on the initiative that you took to assemble all this material so that Our Good Mother might be better known. She well knows how to reward you with the hundredfold. It was marvelous that you made the display available also to religious communities, parishes and other sanctuaries. Thank you for your openness. Those who visited the exposition said that they were fascinated by the explanations that you gave… an outstanding way to make Mary known and loved. You had the knack of strengthening their love of Mary by sharing your own devotion.”

Permit me also to quote the testimony written in the guest book by Sister Carmen Barbe, former Superior General of the Presentation Sisters of Mary: “Hearty congratulations on this splendid Marial exhibition. Through your efforts, may the holy Mother of God be better known and loved. May she fill you with her motherly affection.” In addition, Sister Carmen offered two gifts to enrich this unique Marial collection: a small statue of Our Lady of la Salette and a second statue of Mary as young woman.

Thank you to Brother Gaston Simard who willingly assisted me in setting up the exhibition, and to Brother Yvan Brassard who assisted in dismantling it when it concluded.
