A Marial exhibition at Trois-Rivieres

03/09/2008: Canada

From the 7 to 17th of August 2008, thousands of visitors were able to admire the superb Marial collection of the Marist patrimony during an exhibition presented in the kiosk of the Sanctuary of Notre-Dame-du-Cap, at Trois-Rivieres, in the Province of Quebec, Canada.

The novena in preparation for the feast of the Assumption was most suitable for presenting such an exhibition. The pilgrim visitors came from all directions: USA, France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Cameroon, Burkina, Kenya, Senegal, Haiti, Lesotho, New Zealand, Terra Nova… They came to join hundreds of visitors from Quebec: Ottawa, Chibougamau, Abitibi, Beauce, Montreal, Saguenay, etc. to proclaim loud and strong their attachment to our Good Mother, in this house of prayer.

It was thus an ideal opportunity for making Mary known and loved as Saint Marcellin so desired.

Br Paul-Andre wants to thank the Daughters of Jesus and Father Francois-Dominique, Carmelite, for the help provided on this occasion. It would have been impossible for him by himself to have assured a welcome during the eleven days.

He thanks equally the Oblate Fathers of Mary Immaculate who gave him such a welcome, especially Father Gilles Patry, rector of the Sanctuary, who so kindly agreed to receive him. Thanks to the confreres of Chateau-Richer, Brothers Roger Cote, Gaston Simard, Guy Lachance and Raphael Tremblay for their collaboration.

He addresses cordial thanks to the confreres who sent him recently statues representative of their countries. A very special thanks to Brother Demetrio Spinoza of Argentine.
