The gospel parable of the mustard seed

Young Marist Retreat - Tugun

27/07/2010: Australia

What does a Master student in Occupational Therapy, a Youth Minister from Sunshine Coast, former students from Trinity College, Beenleigh and Marist College, Ashgrove, a Radio DJ, an apprentice carpenter have in common? They attended the second QLD Young Marist weekend at Tugun on 14th-16th May.

The theme of the weekend was the gospel parable of the mustard seed (Matthew 13).

The weekend is designed to have a good balance of creative input, prayer, artistic expressions, great food and free time to enjoy the warm May sunshine on the beach. It was a good weekend to see what has been planted in each of us from the Master Gardener.

Other Young Marist retreat was the Pruning Retreat at Mittagong from the 5th - 9th July.

It was an amazing, fun and therapeutic! I would definitely recommend this weekend to someone who wants to relax and be in a spiritual environment.

I had a very relaxing weekend in Tugun with some amazing people. During this time we had a number of sessions in response to what may have been planted in us as well as enjoying some good food.

I need to challenge myself to search for something to help myself to germinate and grow.
