Affiliation to the Institute of Ana Tereza Naspolini

02/05/2011: Brazil

The celebration of the affiliation to the Institute of Ana Tereza Naspolini took place on Saturday 16th April. She hails from Criciúma, Santa Catarina (Brazil). For more than thirty years, firstly in the Province of São Paulo and now in the Province of Brazil Centro-Sul, this lady has dedicated herself with great creativity to assist the Brothers in their pastoral ministry and educational activities, as well as in the formation of Brothers themselves. As one of the founders of VIVEMAR project, she has played a very significant role in forming our lay associates. To date, the project has conducted 58 sessions and reached almost two thousand educators.

The ceremony in the Chapel of Colégio Marista Paranaense, Curitiba (Paraná) was attended by some 40 Brothers already gathered for their annual Assembly, as well as numerous parents and others who paid tribute to her. ANA TEREZA is now one of 15 living affiliates in this Province. She deserves our congratulations for her gracious presence and activity among the Brothers for such a long period. Indeed, she is a genuine example of a layperson living a Marist spirituality in the style of Champagnat.
