The animation of vocations in the context of youth

National Meeting of Animators of Vocations

10/03/2012: Brazil

From 23 to 27 April 2012, UMBRASIL (Marist Union of Brasil) will hold the National Meeting of Animators of Vocations, with the theme « The animation of vocations in the context of youth ».

The general objective of the meeting is to study the role of animation of vocations in the context of youth, with a view to the construction of their Project of Life and the reinforcing of the culture of vocations. The specific objectives are:

* come to know the situation of youth and their languages;
* work out suitable methodologies for vocations work with youth;
*  share the experiences of animation of vocations in the Provinces and Dioceses;
*  guarantee a continuing formation for animators of vocations;
*  and exchange on the directives of animation of vocations in Marist Brasil, in line with the provincial proposals.

The Commission of Consecrated Life has worked hard on the preparation of this meeting, viewing it especially as a space for participation and reinforcing of our action with regard to the animation of vocations as Marists in Brasil. Our idea is to gather a specific group of persons capable of further study of the themes to be proposed. Among those taking part will be guests from the Marist Fathers and Sisters.

The activities are directed towards the animators of vocations of the Provinces: brothers and laity, provincial vocations animation teams, pastoral teams, members of the university pastoral ministry, representatives of Marist laity, Fathers and Sisters.
