Retreat for Brothers and Lay Champagnat Marists

05/09/2015: Samoa

Brothers and Lay Champagnat Marists gathered for their retreat in Samoa. The retreat focused on the letters of Fr Marcellin Champagnat SM.

On 4th September 1888 the Brothers re-established their school in Apia. The first school opened in 1871 but due to civil unrest the Brothers withdrew in 1877.

There are two Champagnat Marist schools in Samoa.

The Brothers also work in a number of schools in American Samoa.
