Contribution of the Bureau of Publications

15/01/2006: General House

The Institute’s Bureau of Publications has finished printing the Opening Address and Closing Address given by Brother Seán Sammon during the 7th General Conference at Negombo (Sri Lanka). The appearance of the document is similar to that of the letter of convocation to the Conference Life-giving leadership.
A DVD has also been produced that contains all the documents of the 7th General Conference, a daily chronicle and photographs. These documents form twelve blocks:

1. History of the General Conferences
2. Preparation and organisation of the 7th General Conference
3. Programme of the 7th General Conference
4. Chronicle of the Conference
5. Documents of the 7th General Conference
6. Works, development
7. Photographs
8. Prayers and liturgies during the Conference
9. Participants
10. Logo of the Conference
11. Final evaluation
12. Messages sent to the Conference
The DVD has been organised according to the model of a web page so that it is easier to find the documents. A summarised presentation returns to the most important links.
The abundance of the documentation from the preparation of the meeting obliges us to use a support that is more generous than a CD to gather all the documentation on one disk.
This multimedia document and edition 34 of FMS Message, which is at the printers, will allow us to pass on the works and the reflection of the Conference so that the brothers are better aware of it.
The printed booklet of the two addresses is already available to the brothers in the Provinces as well as the DVD which has been sent to Provincials for use and distribution.
