22/03/2006: Australia
Today the Province is made up of over 200 Brothers and many hundreds of lay people who participate in and help to guide the Marist Mission in the southern hemisphere. Our main ministries are in the areas of education and welfare.
This site provides information about the history of the Province, its ministries, programs and special events, and useful resources for spiritual formation.
The ‘Spiritual Formation Handbook’ provides information about the programs offered for the spiritual formation, development and animation of those involved in our mission.
‘The Hermitage’ at Mittagong is also featured as a place for those in connection with the Marist mission, providing spiritual formation, rejuvenation and access to our Marist history, heritage and story in Australia.
The overall purpose of this site is to support those involved in the mission of the Marist Brothers Sydney Province to make Jesus Christ known and loved, among the young, especially the most neglected, in Mary’s way.
