Perpetual vows of Brother Adán Cantú Solís

Indigenous ritual for a profession in the Mexico Central province

04/05/2017: Mexico

Brother Adán Cantú Solís, of the Mexico Central province celebrated his perpetual profession in San Miguel el Progreso, municipality of Malinaltepec on April 21 and 22.

The celebration was carried out by means of an indigenous ritual of request of the rain (“offering to the mother earth”).

Brother Adán expressed his excitement of the momento and his commitment with the Marist charism with the words: “A very big heart is missing to embrace the world... A heart similar to that of Jesus.”

Many people participated, accompanied by the Provincial Superior, Brother José Sánchez Bravo.

Brother Daniel Herrera, provincial councillor, wrote a review of the experience. You can read the story here.
