Marist International Solidarity Foundation Onlus For the benefit of children

25/09/2017: Italy

The Marist non-profit organization FMSI launched a new website on Sept. 22 with the aim of better communicating its activities.

“The overall purpose of the new site is to renew FMSI’s image outwardly and make it more accessible to those who browse the site’s information,” FMSI director Marzia Ventimiglia affirmed.

“We want to make the website a powerful and impactful communication tool regarding all the activities we carry out,” she added in an interview with the general house press office on Sept. 19.

Aside from its Facebook page, FMSI also has now accounts in Instagram and Twitter under the name fmsi_onlus.

The website started off in Italian and English, and will soon be available also in Spanish and Portuguese.

For technical reasons, the website’s URL changed from www.fmsi-onlus.org to www.fmsi.ong.

Its sections include general information on the organisation as well as on children’s rights, projects, news, and how to donate.

FMSI is the foundation created by the Institute to promote and protect the rights of children. FMSI carries on its mission through the activity of advocacy and lobbyingand with projects in the countries in which the Marists are present.

FMSI was constituted in 2007 in Italy as a non-profit organization of social usefulness (ONLUS).

From 2011 it has the special consultative status before the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations.

FMSI is member of: Bureau International Catholique de l’Enfance (BICE), Centre Catholique International de Genève (CCIG), Child Rights Connect, Movimiento Mundial por la Infancia de Latinoamérica y El Caribe, FOCSIV (Federazione degli Organismi Cristiani Servizio Internazionale Volontario), Observatorio Niñez y Adolescencia (ONA), Santiago de Chile.
