Two new postulants in the community of Toluca

05/03/2019: Mexico

The community of Toluca (Province of Central Mexico) received two postulants on Saturday, February 16. The new candidates have asked to live the experience of the Marist community after having successfully completed their aspirancy process. They are Miguel Avilés Rodríguez and Nicolás Pedro Pinzón Martínez.

Brother Javier Peña, who will be responsible for accompanying them during this process of formation, expressed his enthusiasm by saying: "we, the six Brothers of the Community of Toluca, are very happy for their arrival, but at the same time nervous because it is a new experience as a formation community and we are preparing with dedication the classes for the postulants: History of Father Champagnat, introduction to the Old Testament, Catechism of the Catholic Church, foundations of Christology and as an artistic skill singing and guitar. In addition to assuring them of their personal accompaniment each week, we believe that formation today is contagious, so our prayers and community spaces will form them in family life.
