Perpetual profession of five brothers and six first professions in Rio Grande do Sul

In 2005, five brothers committed themselves with the perpetual vows in the Province: Br. Tarcísio Posthinger (Angola), Br. Sandro Baruffi (Lajeado - 29/10), Br. Sandro Bobrzyk (Santo Ângelo - 13/11), Br. Altenir Pimentel (Santana do Livramento - 27/11) and Br. Elio Liesenfeld (Porto Alegre - 10/12).

The Marist Brothers welcome six new religious
On the 8th December, during a ceremony at the Marcellin Champagnat Institute (Novitiate) at Passo Fundo, the Province of Rio Grande do Sul welcomed six new members. The brothers pronounced their vows of poverty, chastity and obedience in the presence of Brother Lauro Hochscheidt, Provincial.
Their profession marks the end of their two years of Novitiate, a period of prayer, of meditation, of pastoral work and of community life. The newly professed will continue their formation at Viamão. In 2006, they will be doing their scholasticate during which they will continue their studies to deepen especially the mission of a Marist apostle, It will be during this time that the brothers will choose the professional courses they wish to do.
The profession ceremony started at ten o’clock in the morning in the presence of the parents of the new brothers.
The new brothers are: Brother Fernando Filippin (União da Serra), Brother Gerson Manoel Dresch (Campina das Missões/RS), Brother Jauri Roque Mallmann (Campina das Missões), Brother Leandro Paiz (Ciríaco), Brother Manuir José Mentges (Campina das Missões), Brother Venícius Marostega da Veiga (Santo Ângelo)
