With the transformations that operate in the global and corporate world, the subject of management is always current. The programme presented the management models of the sixteen Administrative Units throughout the 16th November.

Then, on the 17th and 18th November, Brother Manoel Alves, PMBCN and Luiz Carlos Menezes DAscenção, UCB-Brasilia, treated the management model and organisation strategy, from the explanation of a Model of the Structure of Management. Here the axiological foundations of management were discussed: principles and values, theoretical and conceptual foundations of management, theories of administration, as well as the operational foundations, such as the ongoing improvement of the process, of normalisation and of methodology.

Strategic Planning was also presented by the consultants. To look more deeply into the subject, the participants reflected on the model of strategic management, that is to say, the concepts, process and results as well as the analysis of surrounding internal and external milieux; the large centres, Mission, Vision and Values, the strategic objectives and the lines of organisation.

To complete the discussion on planning and management, the instrument Balanced Scorecard (BSC), a current form of planning and of checking of any type of business, uniting a rapid implantation with highly efficient controls which have revolutionised the administration of business during these last few years, allowing levels of efficiency that were impossible to achieve before. On this subject, the financial perspective was analysed; as was the point of view of the beneficiary, the point of view of the internal processes and the point of view of learning and augmentation.

During the entire development of the subjects mentioned, the consultants used a group work dynamic at the inter-Provincial and Provincial levels, followed by a presentation in the plenary session and discussion.

The evaluation of the meeting highlighted the satisfaction of all the participants with the co-ordination of the event, the hospitality, the accommodation and the food, the means used, the presentation of the models by Provinces, the contribution by the consultants, the work in groups, the translation service, the conclusions and the proposals and the celebrations of confraternity.
